Recovery After Penis Enlargement Surgery
Making the decision to undergo penis enlargement surgery isn’t exactly a natural thing. It is a path taken by individuals willing to take high risks. In my opinion, these are men whose desire to have a bigger male member is above anything else in this world. Besides, considering the dangers associated with penis surgery, is enough to make anyone chicken out. It is no wonder, only a few men are willing to go under the knife to finally have the penis length or girth of their dream.
If you have made an appointment with your doctor, he or she must have discussed preoperative procedures or preparations with you. While this is imperative, what happens after the surgery is equally important. Understanding the recovery process is critical to successful penis enlargement surgery results.
Below are some of the things that you can do to ensure a safe recovery from penile surgery:
After the surgery, you shouldn’t resume your usual bathing routine. You should wait until three or four days later. However, you shouldn’t use creaming shower product- use the ordinary hand soap. During this period, a fresh plaster cut should be applied. Alternatively, you may use a plaster spray agent for one week- depending on the procedure performed.
Always wear losing fitting pants
You should abstain from engaging in sports or sexual intercourse for at least four weeks. Again, this is dependent on the type of operation performed on you. Your surgeon is the most suitable person to advise you on this matter. It is imperative that you adhere to the instructions he or she provides.
Cigarette smokers are encouraged to quit smoking, at least, two weeks before the surgery. Apparently, smoking has a harmful interference with the healing process of the wounds. It constricts the walls of the blood vessels and thus, delaying the recovery process. For this same reason, it is advisable that you continue to abstain smoking for a couple of weeks after the surgery. Besides, you don’t want to engage in an activity that impairs the healing process.
Intensive sunbathing is also advised against- for a minimum of eight weeks after the penis enlargement surgery. It has the potential to affect the area operated on. Sunbathing causes uneven colouring – pigmentation disorders.
Your penis should also be massaged daily. Use a lubricant such as Vaseline to prevent the formation of lumps on the surface. Rubbing the penis also helps to keep it from becoming lopped. While the operated area should be kept clean at all times, water shouldn’t be allowed to get in. Instead, a sponge should be used to clean the area instead of taking a shower. In the same way, you shouldn’t go swimming, until after four to six weeks after the surgery.
How to deal with complications. While complications are rare (especially if the surgery is performed by a highly reputable surgeon), they cannot be dismissed entirely. No surgery is a hundred percent perfect. You should be on the lookout for anything out of ordinary such as excessive bleeding, severe pain, infection or formation of fluid under the penile skin, chest pains and even breathing difficulties. If you realise any of these signs, speak to your surgeon immediately. Other possible severe complications include nerve damage, thrombosis or blood clots in the lungs.
These effective tips can help you have a safe recovery period.
